Abstract Information
The Organizers of VANU are pleased to offer abstract poster viewing and special abstract presentations for the meeting. All abstracts will be available on demand on the Virtual Congress platform beginning October 9th 2020 1800 hrs India Till the end of the meeting , 18th October 2020.
Virtual Poster Hall
All posters will be openly available for viewing in the Virtual Poster Hall beginning October 9th to 11th 2020 1800 hrs to 2200 hrs and then on 16th to 18th October 2020 1800 hrs to 2200 hrs India.
Posters cannot be downloaded from the Virtual Poster Hall once they are on display.
Each poster category will have an open forum chat feature, during the presentation time, as will be specified to the delegates to encourage engagement between attendees and authors. It is encouraged, that abstract authors visit the chat feature throughout the week and participate in discussion with attendees.
Abstracts are invited in the following subsections HEADACHE, MOVEMENT DISORDERS, NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDERS, NEUROIMMUNOLOGY, and EPILEPSY.
An Award of 25000 INR will be offered to the Best E Poster in each category. The judgement time of the posters will be communicated to the presenters well in advance and they need to be online at the time of the judgement. The Winners of the Best posters will also be eligible for a FREE REGISTRATION for the NEXT IN-PERSON ANU.
Information for Poster Presenters
By submitting your abstract, you affirm that your abstract is your own, either individually or as a group. Should plagiarism be detected, the abstract will be rejected. The body of the abstract shall be maximum 250 words in times new roman font.
Virtual Poster Information
Posters must be emailed to the organizers by 3oth September 2020 2200 hrs IST.

Please ensure poster content is scientific in nature and refrain from including marketing or promotional materials. Label your file with the Number allotted to you as your abstract reference number.
E-Poster Presentation Specifications
General specifications
- The E-poster will be displayed on standard Portrait Format
- File format should be High Resolution JPEG (blow 2 Mb file).
- Single JPEG should be sent.
- E Poster should be 42 X 59.5 cms (Conference or Event poster) in size.
- For creating an e-poster, you can use this free online website www.canva.com. Sign up with Google or Facebook, or with your own email and password. In the search box, search for ‘Conference poster’. From the options shown, you can either choose from the templates, or choose from a blank template, and create your own poster by adding photos, text etc.
- Animation/movies/sounds will not be supported; please submit in a static JPEG (Not GIF etc.)
Design specifications

- The poster title should be displayed prominently at the top of the poster. Mention the Authors clearly below the title
- The text should include (most likely as separate elements of the poster) Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Acknowledgements
- The poster should be self-explanatory. Text should be brief and well organized
- The typeface chosen should be a simple and clear one (e.g. Helvetica)
- The correct font size depends greatly on the fonts used in the JPEG and the thumb rule should be that if its visible well on the computer screen it shall be visible on the E-Poster Display Screen.
- Color suggestions:
- When using light backgrounds (white, yellow, light blue) we suggest using dark fonts (black, navy blue, dark green)
- When using dark backgrounds (blue, purple) we suggest using light fonts (white, yellow, cyan)
- Avoid using red or green in any fonts or backgrounds as they are colors that are difficult to read
- Illustrations/images/photographs used in the E-poster should be enlarged enough to show relevant details
